Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module (HC-SR04)

Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module (HC-SR04) is an excellent sensor that delivers incredibly short range of (2 cm) to a maximum long range of (4 Meters) detection of an object or an obstacle. The Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module gives precise and reliable non-contact distance / length measurements from approx 2cm to 4 meters with amazingly high accuracy. It can be very easily interfaced to any micro-controller board.

Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module can be applied for measuring length/ distance, object sensor, motion / movement sensors and so on. Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module is a sensitive module and can be used with microcontroller to incorporate with motion circuits to create robotic jobs and other distance, position & motion sensitive items.

The Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module sends 8 (Eight) 40Khz square wave pulses and immediately detects whether it receives the returning signal. If there is a signal returning, a high level pulse is delivered on the echo pin. The duration of this pulse is the time it took the signal from first triggering to the return echo.
